MINANDREWYOONWOO

Honesty suited Andrew because he was an instigator at heart and his opinions were often unpopular. He was content to watch and imagine. Lonely, too, but there was nothing he could do about that.

Andrew's life has been marked by pain, betrayal, and a relentless struggle to reclaim any sort of autonomy. Born in the United States, he spent his early years under the oppressive and downright bruising grip of his fanatically religious parents. Unruly and openly questioning their faith, Andrew was labeled a "spawn of the devil"—a living test of their devotion. This branding came with an array of physical and emotional wounds, the sexual/medical torture he endured supposedly curing the child of its “touch of Satan”. But in 2008 his parents decided they had enough and abandoned him to the foster care system either way, unwilling to tolerate what they saw as his continued defiance and unwillingness to find his way back to God. For Andrew, this rejection was both a relief and yet another scar that never fully healed.Three years later his parents were hunted down and killed by their own religious cult for "disobedience"—a fate they endured because of one small letter sent and signed by Andrew’s own unsteady hands with their address written down meticulously. He knew the rules of the “Circle” and knew that abandoning a challenge sent by God was to be punished with Death. Perhaps he also knew that his parents had adopted another child once they sent him away. Perhaps he did not want them to suffer the same fate as him. After his parents' deaths, Andrew was sent to a new foster home in South Korea instead, where distant relatives were expected to claim him. They never did. Nobody wanted an already sixteen year old delinquent with grades that barely kept him in school at all. Isolated in a foreign country, Andrew drifted through life with a quiet, detached resilience. Making friends was rare—he viewed life as something to endure rather than embrace and people viewed him as a troublemaker either way. The abandonment, pain and betrayals hardened him, but beneath the guarded exterior lies a soul still longing for connection, even if he struggles to trust others enough to seek it.In a world that has taken so much from him, Andrew clings to the one thing no one else controls—his own will.

ic drama is always fine for me, as long as it's mild (heavy drama needs to be discussed beforehand)ooc drama will result in me ignoring you and your muse.

writing style: mostly literate, 3rd person pov, no "oneliners" pls unless it's texting which i am fine with!not every interaction has to be plotted! comments under his pictures and tweets are always encouraged <3andrew is HEAVILY inspired by the aftg franchise. he comes with quite a few heavy topics from his past but he does NOT have to bring them into present-time interactions necessarily. we can work smth out i am sure :) still, be advised that he is not a warm/welcoming person.

forgotten remainswhat : your muse is andrew`s (adopted) sibling he never knew of. they lived with his parents only for three years and then ended up in foster care (korea or the US) or turned 18. your muse wanted to find out more about their brother and parent's death and decided to reach out.who : any gender, korean or korean-american ethnicity, must have lived in the US between 2008 and 2011when : present-plot (korea)

teacher's nightmarewhat : your muse was andrew's classmate in korean highschool - either a goody-two-shoes horrified by andrew's behavior or a mutually unimpressed teenager. they might meet again.who : any gender, roughly the same age as andrewwhen : past and present-plot (korea)

unsightly nonchalancewhat : your muse and andrew met in a mourning group (mandatory for him) and spent 8 weeks having to talk about grief, pain and loss (or in andrew`s case, the lack thereof) once a weekwho : any gender, any agewhen : past-plot (korea), when andrew was 16 - 18

pesky regularwhat : your muse frequents the clubs/bars that andrew usually hangs out/works at. he is somehow always where your muse is - a coincidence? or does your muse have a fucking stalker?who : any gender, any agewhen : present-plot (korea)

temporary solacewhat : your muse used to play soccer with andrew while he was in foster care. he was actually really good at it for a kid but one day he never came back to the field again.who : any gender, any age, someone who lived in the US between 2008 and 2011when : past (US) and present-plot (korea)
